i have a well maintained 55 gal tank?
i have a 55 gal tank that in well cycled and maintained for about four months now. I have algea eaters, tetras, barbs, danos, neons, gouramies, ect. in it. I want to add live plants to make the tank look more natural. First off how do i do that? What kind of plants are good and how to care for them? Please any insight on helping me would be great!
There are many plants you can choose from
make sure you have proper lighting for your tank
I have a T5 light on my 55 gallon, which has the bulbs for plant growing
even if you have a regular hood on your tank, you can get the light bulbs for plants growing
recommended are 6500 K strips
as for plants
if you have gravel in your tank, you can just plant them into it, like you would with plants in the garden
plants i like and are easy to take care off

just make sure you have the light on for at least 10 hours a day up to 12 hours maximum
other then that, i don't do much but doing regular waterchanges of 25% weekly with a gravel siphon
when doing a waterchange, just siphon around it, that you don't tear out the plants
